Hi and welcome to Dancing Hooves!
Dancing Hooves started in 2009 when I was a college student as a place for me to chronicle my equestrian adventures. This blog was originally centered around my 1993 Standardbred gelding Walk The Line ("Johnny"). Since that time, Dancing Hooves has seen many more adventures with all five of the horses that I've owned over the years, including Emmy's Last Dance ("Emmy" - 1987 TB mare), High Joe Silver Away ("Gus" - 2005 AQHA gelding), Take Me I'm Cool ("Cool" - 2004 AQHA gelding) and MRF Voyager ("Gimli" - 2014 Miniature Horse). Currently, Emmy, Cool and Johnny are the horses that will be most featured in this blog.
After a long stint as a professional USEF "A" circuit groom, barn manager, and finally as a Vet Assistant, I'm now working a full time job as a stay at home mom to my first child. I'm a DIY amateur on a budget just trying to muddle my way through the housewife horse life! This blog follows my journey with my horses as well as a little insight into living the equestrian mom life.

What a brave Johnny boy! I'm totally impressed with how confident he looks through all those elements, even the water. My mare probably would have had a mental break down with the water, she's a princess after all and princess don't get their feet wet. Y'all should do a horse trial sometime! Hope everything's going well for you. IHSA seasons starting up again too?
